Driftless Sacred Grove is a nursery and forest garden in West Lima, Wisconsin, in the heart of the Driftless. We grow cold-hardy fruit, nut, and habitat trees adapted to the Upper Midwest — everything no-spray organic, propagated and grown on site.

What you’ll find here:

Trees & Shrubs for Sale → Nursery stock propagated and grown on site — fruit trees, nut trees, berries, willows, oaks, natives. Updated as stock changes through the season.

Cuttings, Seeds & Roots → Dormant cuttings, scionwood, seed, and roots offered each winter and spring: elderberry, currant, hardy grape, hardy kiwi, willow, pear and mulberry scionwood, cold-hardy white peach seed, pawpaw seed, groundnut, comfrey. Fig cuttings are listed on FigBid. Typically sales begin in October of the year and continue until mid-April.

The Grove

Decades of trialing what actually survives and fruits here: hardy peaches bred through multiple generations on this land, pawpaws from the Dreamtime Village patch, hybrid chestnuts, hardy kiwis, and a long bench of Driftless-proven cultivars. If it’s in the catalog, it has overwintered here.
